Frederick University is one of the leading private Universities operating in the Republic of Cyprus, a member-state of the European Union. It was established after a decision by the Council of Ministers on 12th September 2007. Although the establishment of the University is relatively recent, the organization has a long history of more than 50 years in higher education. Frederick University operates from two campuses, the main campus in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, and the other campus in Limassol, the second largest city.

a. Please inform Angela if you have mobility issues or require special assistance, as there are limited apartments with easy access to the tavern and the conference room.
b. Please book early, as Tochni is a small village and accommodation is limited. First come, first served!
c. Currently, the online booking system is closed for the conference dates to reserve the accommodation for ISOF conference participants, and to prohibit other tourists from booking, so you can not see all the available apartments. Please book with Angela directly!
d. If you need a transfer from the airport (Larnaka or Paphos), inform Angela as well. Prices will depend on your time of arrival and number of people.
Colleagues who plan to rent a car, can also book in Kalavasos village, which is also a very nice village 7 km away from Tochni. If you book an apartment with Ms. Angela Georgiou, the same half-board rates for apartments apply for Kalavasos and you will be offered breakfast and lunch at Tochni Tavern.
Colleagues who choose to book in other places, not through Cyprus Villages, have to plan their transportation to and from the conference location themselves.

Persons visiting Cyprus must enter and leave the country from a legal airport in the areas which are under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus: Larnaka (LCA) or Paphos (PFO) airports. As the northern part of the island is under Turkish military occupation, all points of entry there have been declared illegal and prohibited to all maritime and air traffic. These include the airport of Ercan. The ban is recognized and observed by the governments of all countries except Turkey.
The so-called “green line” artificially separates the areas under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the northern areas of Cyprus occupied by Turkey. Visitors in the free areas who wish to go to the occupied areas may cross the “green line” only via legal crossing points defined by the Republic of Cyprus. No formalities or advance arrangements are required. It is sufficient to inform a Police Officer of the Republic of Cyprus at the crossing point of their intention. It is advisable to carry a passport or identity card solely as proof of identity if requested. Under no circumstances must visitors allow their passports to be stamped by the illegal Turkish Cypriot "authorities". Persons who enter the country from an illegal port or airport in the occupied areas and cross to the free areas, will be doing so in breach of the law.
